Building Houses, Restoring Hope, Strengthening Families
Santhwanam Homes is one of the flagship programmes of Santhwanam Archdiocese of Thrissur, providing safe and dignified housing for poor and vulnerable families. The initiative traces its origin to 1987, when the Archdiocese launched a housing programme to commemorate the historic pastoral visit of Pope John Paul II to Thrissur.
Over the past four decades, Santhwanam has facilitated the construction, completion, and renovation of more than 1,000 houses across Thrissur District.
These homes have transformed the lives of poor families, widows, elderly persons, and other socially marginalized communities by providing them with secure and permanent shelter.
More than a housing scheme, Santhwanam Homes restores hope, dignity, and stability. A safe home improves health, enhances children's educational opportunities, and strengthens family life.
