Empowering through Micro-Credit, Skill Development, and Livelihood Support

Promoting women's economic empowerment and financial inclusion is a key priority for Santhwanam. Through our strong network of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), we facilitate access to affordable institutional credit, enabling women to establish and expand sustainable enterprises.
വനിതകളുടെ സാമ്പത്തിക ശാക്തീകരണത്തിനും സാമ്പത്തിക ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തലിനും (Financial Inclusion) സാന്ത്വനം മുൻഗണന നൽകുന്നു. സ്വയം സഹായ സംഘങ്ങളുടെ (SHGs) ശക്തമായ ശൃംഖലയിലൂടെ മിതമായ നിരക്കിൽ വായ്പകൾ ലഭ്യമാക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് സ്വന്തമായി സംരംഭങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങാൻ ഞങ്ങൾ വനിതകളെ സഹായിക്കുന്നു.
In collaboration with KSBCDC, Santhwanam facilitated micro-credit loans worth ₹1 Crore to eligible SHGs in 2025, supporting micro-enterprises like tailoring, food processing, and handicrafts.
KSBCDC-യുമായി സഹകരിച്ച്, 2025 സാമ്പത്തിക വർഷത്തിൽ അർഹരായ സംഘങ്ങൾക്ക് 1 കോടി രൂപയുടെ മൈക്രോ ക്രെഡിറ്റ് വായ്പകൾ സാന്ത്വനം ലഭ്യമാക്കി. തയ്യൽ, ഭക്ഷ്യ സംസ്കരണം, കരകൗശല വസ്തുക്കൾ തുടങ്ങിയ സംരംഭങ്ങൾക്കായി ഈ തുക വിനിയോഗിച്ചു.
The programme was inaugurated by Mar Andrews Thazhath, Archbishop of Thrissur. Encouraged by the success, we continued this assistance in 2026, equipping women to become active contributors to their families and communities.
തൃശൂർ ആർച്ച് ബിഷപ്പ് മാർ ആൻഡ്രൂസ് താഴത്ത് ഈ പദ്ധതി ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. ഇതിന്റെ വിജയത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് 2026-ലും മൈക്രോ ക്രെഡിറ്റ് സഹായം തുടരുകയും, വനിതകളെ സാമ്പത്തികമായി സ്വതന്ത്രരാക്കാൻ ആവശ്യമായ നടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
The WVFC is a dedicated centre established to empower rural women through skill enhancement and sustainable self-employment opportunities. It serves as a platform where women acquire market-oriented skills and build confidence.
ഗ്രാമീണ വനിതകളെ ശാക്തീകരിക്കുന്നതിനായി സ്ഥാപിതമായ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക പരിശീലന കേന്ദ്രമാണ് WVFC. വിപണിയിൽ ആവശ്യമായ തൊഴിൽ നൈപുണ്യങ്ങൾ ആർജിക്കാനും ആത്മവിശ്വാസം വളർത്താനും ഇത് വനിതകളെ സഹായിക്കുന്നു.
With the support of NABARD under the Micro Enterprise Development Programme (MEDP), we implemented a 45-day Jute Bag Making Training Programme. This initiative benefited 30 rural women, equipping them with skills in designing, cutting, and marketing eco-friendly bags.
നബാർഡിന്റെ (NABARD) സഹകരണത്തോടെ 45 ദിവസത്തെ ജൂട്ട് ബാഗ് നിർമ്മാണ പരിശീലന പരിപാടി ഞങ്ങൾ വിജയകരമായി നടപ്പിലാക്കി. 30 ഗ്രാമീണ വനിതകൾ ഈ പരിശീലനത്തിന്റെ ഗുണഭോക്താക്കളായി. ഇക്കോ ഫ്രണ്ട്‌ലി ബാഗുകളുടെ ഡിസൈനിംഗ്, തയ്യൽ, മാർക്കറ്റിംഗ് എന്നിവയിൽ അവർ വൈദഗ്ധ്യം നേടി.
Currently, 10 women work regularly at the centre, producing high-quality reusable bags for institutions and local markets. The centre is open to receiving orders from the public.
നിലവിൽ 10 സ്ത്രീകൾ ഈ കേന്ദ്രത്തിൽ സ്ഥിരമായി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഉയർന്ന നിലവാരമുള്ള തുണിസഞ്ചികളും ജൂട്ട് ബാഗുകളും ഇവിടെ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നു. പൊതുജനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും ബാഗുകൾക്കായി ഓർഡറുകൾ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നതാണ്.
Beyond micro-credit, we focus on technical skill development. Recently, toolkits were distributed to graduates of the Mobile Phone Repair Training Programme, enabling them to start self-employment immediately and earn a sustainable livelihood.
